MEDICAL ELECTIVE MEXICO
Mexico: Where Adventure Meets Medical Elective
From the Caribbean and Pacific coasts to the remains of the ancient Mayan civilization, Mexico is a very diverse country, with excellent cuisine, unique archaeology, stunning beaches, exceptional diving opportunities, and a landscape that ranges from dense jungle to cactus-covered, frost-covered deserts. It is larger than all of Central America combined. All these makes Mexico an ideal destination for Medical Elective
Mexico is a little more developed and a little more expensive than many other famous destinations in Central and South America, but it is also accessible to most budget travelers. Mexican food is inexpensive and extremely delicious.
Whether you want to take an elective in medicine or nursing, learn more about midwifery, or take an elective in dentistry, Mexico has it all. You will have excellent opportunities to study in all fields, and thanks to the tropical climate, you will also be able to experience new diseases.
Let the sandy beaches and artistic and historical surroundings of this beautiful location draw you to your chosen major, whatever it may be.
Our Medical Elective City in Mexico, Merida.
Founded in 1542 on the ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Tho, this city has now been declared the Cultural Capital of the Americas, having twice won the title. Mérida is the capital of the state of Yucatán, famous for the asteroid impact 65 million years ago that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
A cosmopolitan city with numerous museums, art galleries, restaurants and clubs, Mérida is the most important city on the entire Yucatán Peninsula. Not only do people in Yucatán speak Spanish with a distinctive accent, but a third of the population of Yucatán also speaks the Mayan language. Mérida’s cuisine also differs from traditional Mexican food, as it has been influenced by the local indigenous culture, as well as Caribbean, Mexican, European and Middle Eastern flavors.

This city is a perfect base for exploring the Yucatán Peninsula, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
When you stay with us, you will enjoy beautiful private accommodation close to your workplace. Our team is available 24/7 if you need it. We also offer Spanish courses in Mexico, where we can help you, whether you already speak Spanish or not. Medical Electives
